Is it okay to split a 3-month pack of birth control bills into 3 individual month?

So that I get my period every month? I've just started Jolessa (a generic for Seasonique) and I'm not too sure that I want to get my period once every three months, because I'd rather get mine every month. Is it okay to just take one month's worth and then stop for a week to get my period, and then start on the next month? I don't want to waste money on this pack that I've already paid for
